What Is The ANSI/TIA/EI-568-B.2-1 To Cat 6 Wire?
The American National Standards Institute sets the standard for the cat 6 wire. The ANSI/TIA/EI-568-B.2-1 is the name for the set of three telecommunications standards set up by the Telecommunications Industry Association. These standards address the commercial building ethernet crossover cable cabling for telecom products and services. These three standards were first published in 2001. They took the place of the TIA/EIA-568-A standards which are now not used at all. The three standards use to be called ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.1-2001, -B.2-2001, and -B.3-2001. These specifications also states the type of gauge that the wires use. They state that the wires can have 22 - 24 gauge.
