Working With Kids With Police Records
I once applied for a job as a lifeguard at a local home for troubled teenagers. Most of the kids there have police records, and I thought I could really help these kids with my skills and my passion. I had hoped that the lifeguard position would give me an in at the agency so that I could later become part of the regular staff. It took them forever to get back to me after my interview, and I ended up accepting a different position somewhere else. After hearing what a friend of mine has been going through at that home, I am extremely glad fate turned me down another road. She is miserable and is looking for another job.
