The Wonder of Phones

The telephone is typically a great form of communication, being that instead of getting in your horse and buggy to go visit the person you wanted to ask that one question to, you can pick up the phone receiver and dial the number. I know in my house we have three cordless phones and three cell phones, and yet we can never find one when it rings. Generally, when someone calls, you will see everyone scrambling around in order to find just one working phone. We are usually pretty lucky to find a phone that works and is not dead, before the answering machine picks up or the caller hangs up.
