Pat Testing and Downtime
Obviously it is in everyone’s interest to ensure that the testing is undertaken in a thorough manner whilst keeping any disruption to the business down to manageable limits. The amount of disturbance to the workplace will hinge largely on the equipment being tested with some pat testing able to be completed on an item within the space of a few minutes. Timescales and levels of disruption does vary of course with certain appliances and installations needing to be more thoroughly examined than others. But pat testing can usually be undertaken without disruption to staff which allows businesses to keep downtime to an absolute minimum.
