Not just houses
When I first started looking into buying investment property I naturally only thought of houses and duplexes. After buying three houses and two duplexes (which a property management company takes care of) I started to think of buying small businesses. My first business was a tiny dinner. The owner was retiring and just wanted out of the business. The dinner had a pretty good steady clientele and the owner had excellent contacts with his suppliers which he introduced me to. I hired a new cook and a manager to run the place. I now have a very good stream of income from it and more than twice the loan cost and costs of running the place.
