What is a Background check?
It used to be that managers would interview someone for a job and take their word that the information they put on their application was true. Although they wouldn’t necessarily just take it at face value on the document they would watch for body language cues while asking questions designed to provoke an emotional response to see if you were lying or not.
Too many lawsuits were fought due to applicants not telling the truth but beating this body language test. Some of which were convicts, thieves or whom were fired and arrested for harming another employee. The background checks is a sure fire way to assure the company this person’s record will not be hidden.
