Wedding Photography Disaster
First times are always exciting, first drive, first kiss, first job and first stint. In order to finish college I had to work part time as a photographer in a local shop. I learned the ropes out there more than the lectures inside the campus. The small shop I worked for started launching wedding photography packages. One time, our main guy called in sick so I had to fill in for him for some wedding that day. I would have to say that was wedding photography disaster. Digital cameras were not around back then. I ran out of film even before the priest said “You may kiss the bride” so I have to drive like crazy back to the shop to pick up fresh rolls. I tripped in the middle of the altar steps and ran over the flower girl while scampering to get a good shot of the couple. I managed to get a few decent shots but that first time was really something.
