Credit is the new way forward. Visa cards can be topped up with credit. They even make an amazing present to give to somebody. Look out for visa prepaid gift cards in your bank. Just make sure you put a nice enough amount of credit on it to buy something worthy with. Companies already working with theses cards are Visa obviously and all the major brand names like Mastercard. These cards are also handy for vacations, as if you lose them you can phone the bank and cancel them and get more sent out.
